EVENT LOCATION
In 2026 the Annual Burger Run has a new location. All events will start and finish at Geelong Criterium Track, Belmont. Explore the southern end of the Barwon River in the 10.5km and 15.5km runs. Parking is available around the event site.
THE COURSEs
5.5km distance Also offered as a non-competitive walk event, the 5.5km event has proven to be a popular distance. From the start line, head north along the criterium track toward the river. The Burger Run crew will direct you along Barwon Common until you reach the walking track. Keep an eye out for event photographers. Make a U Turn at the witches hat as indicated by Burger Run crew and complete a full lap and a half of the track to earn your medal
10km distance Starting at the criterium track, runners will follow the Belmont Common ovals to the path. Keeping to the south side of the river head past the golf course to Gundog Lane, where you will cross to the north river banks until John Landy Field. Here you'll find a Burger Run crew member at Water and Aid Station who will direct you around the witches hat to complete the second half of your run.
15.5km distance The longest Burger Run distance on offer. Make it a race or challenge yourself as you leave the criterium track, follow the track to Gundog Lane, cross to the north side of the Barwon River. Stop in for a water refill, or continue past Burger Run crew at John Landy Field. Pass Barwon Rowing Club and the Moorabool St bridge then you'll find the Burger Run crew at your turn around point James Harrison memorial where Riversdale Road meets the path. Turn around the witches hat and head back to complete your 15.5km distance with a finishers half lap of the criterium track.
